Dana Delaney was born in New York, and her parents are Mary and Jack Delaney.
She was a confident a determined lady, in spite of her failure at the first audition she attempted for the second time and finally proved her talent, she got the leading role after which she was seen in Patty Hearst, a biographical movie that was based on the life of Hearst.
After paying her dues by doing commercials, theater and soap operas, she landed the lead on China Beach and ultimately garnered two Best Actress Emmys.
