Manuel has second thoughts citing that Vicki is overqualified, and Jessie has her own reservations, but is swayed when she and Vicki talk about cars and seemingly hit it off.

Manuel is made to deal with a similar situation when Vicki invites her other friends, Maddy O'Reilly and Carlo Carrera to the home of her reluctant employer.

Of course this whole situation is equally upsetting for both Jessie and Manuel who have become much colder to one another and grow more and more distant as the film progresses.
